The Governing Board of TUSD consists of five members, one of whom must reside on Travis Air Force Base. Additionally a student member who is selected by his or her peers represents the students of the district and votes in an advisory capacity.

Business meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month and a Board workshop is held at various sites in the district on the fourth Tuesday of the month excluding December, July and August.
