Pictured above is the Vanden High School science student, Karla Spence, 1st place over-all and Physical Science winner of the Tenth annual City of Fairfield's High Schools Science Fair. The science fair was held at Armijo High School on Saturday April 9th. Vanden Science students took 10 of the 16 prizes in 5 categories. The Vanden winners were:

Courtney Vidt -- 1st place, Life Science
Keturah Bush -- 3rd place, Life Science
Heather Field -- 4th place, Life Science
Jorden Noack -- 1st place, Earth Science and 3rd place for entire science fair
Karla Spence -- 1st place, Physical Science and 1st place for entire science fair
Sadie Fissett and Nicole Buchanan -- 3rd place, Physical Science
Joselito Andrada and Erin Lagrisola -- 1st place, Calpine - best use of electricity
Kyle Miller -- 1st place, Solano County Water Irrigation District Award
