General Information
New Applications for District Transfers
Process Used to Determine Priorities
General
Information
IDA's are "Inter-district Agreements". If you live outside
of the Travis District Boundaries, you can still request that your
child attend a Travis School. The Student Services Department processes
all inter-school and inter-district transfers. The inter-district
transfers are initiated throughout the year. The process begins
at the district of residence, where a "release to attend Travis
Schools" is secured.. Once this is completed, a Travis USD
application is obtained at the Student Services department (in the
Pupil Services building). Regardless of priority, all Interdistrict
Attendance Agreements (IDAs) are based upon space availability.
The first notification period is June 30th and the second notification
period is October 1st as per Governing Board Policy, although exceptions
may be made by the superintedent.

New Applications
for District Transfers
- Parents apply for a student release from their district of residence*
- Parents fill out a TUSD IDA application. This application
must include parent and student's signature, the most recent report
card (or transcript for grades 9 through 12.)
- If classroom space is available a copy of this application
is sent to the school for review. The school makes a copy
of the agreement and sends the original back to the Student Services
Office for final approval.
- The Student Services Office sends to the parents a letter of
approval or denial.
* If you are a military parent and have been assigned to Temporary
Living Quarters, you may contact Student Services ([707] 437-8113)
to get application information.
Process Used
to Determine Priorities
Priority consideration will be given to: Parents/guardians who
work for TUSD, dependents of active military personnel, and students
who are already attending TUSD and move out of the district.
