A Video Project 

Students in grade 5 at Center Elementary School have spent the past year learning how to create and produce movies using ULead Video Studio 6.0.  The students' goal was to produce a video to help new students when they move into Center School later in the year.  Being children in the Air Force, they can empathize with moving as often as they do.  They brainstormed what types of things would help newcomers adjust to yet another school.

Students used Inspiration to map out an outline of their ideas.  The ideas were printed and moved around  time and again in order to get the various aspects of their video in the right order.  Working in groups, students interviewed staff, wrote scripts, chose music, and even did voice over editing.  They shot their own video, planned the shots and scenes, planned retakes, and edited their video.  They pulled all scenes together with transitions between scenes.
