Quarter Project: Goal Setting
Carefully and NEATLY follow all directions!
Keep these directions; your parents will need them later!

Materials: 1 large piece of paper, 12 small color strips of paper, ruler, stapler

PART ONE: Goal setting foldable directions

1. Fold a sheet of paper into thirds (see sample)

2. Open paper and measure 5 cm up from bottom, make a line and fold on that line. Tape or staple outer edges.

3. Neatly print your name, date, and period on the back of the middle pocket.

4. Label each pocket, along the bottom edge, as follows:
• Middle school goals
• High school goals
• 5 years after high school goals

5. Cut the color goal sheets in ½ down the middle. You should now have 4 sheets that are Middle School Goals: Home/family, Academic, Physical Goal, and Extracurricular, as well as 4 High school Goal sheets and 4 that are 5 years after high school.

6. Fold each goal paper so that the bottom edge touches the line just beneath the goal category. This will allow the papers to fit neatly into each pocket. Put 4 sheets of paper in each pocket, one from each category.

7. Now begin filling out your goals! Make sure to decorate (pictures and/or drawings) your foldable before you turn it in!

PART TWO

Choose one of the following options as a representation for one or more of your goals. This will be collected at the same time you turn in your foldable.
Poem diorama drawing Short story other (see teacher for approval)
