Parent Partnership

Meeting Dates and Topics | FAQ's

Parent Partnership is a joint effort between parents and the staff of Center Elementary School.  Through informal meetings, parents will have the opportunity to meet with the Principal, the Title I Coordinator, and other staff members.  The primary goal of the Parent Partnership is to improve student success and academic achievement.  Another goal is to provide support to parents in helping their children to succeed at school.  Each meeting will have a primary theme (e.g. parent involvement) which will guide us in affecting change at Center Elementary School.

Why Should I Participate in the Parent Partnership?
Family and community involvement is an essential component of a successful school program - along with curriculum, instruction, assessment, and other aspects of school life.  Good communication and relationships among schools, families, and communities help to maximize students' chances of success.

The Parent Partnership may take any direction that you, as parents, would like to see.  We are open to any and all possible meeting topics.  Come and join us for a cup of coffee or tea and discuss topics that may be of interest to you.

Frequently Asked Questions
  • Do I have to join the Parent Partnership?
No, you may feel free to come to any or all of the meetings.  Meetings will be informal and will encourage open discussion.
  • What about our school age children?
You are encouraged to bring your children with you.
  • What can I expect to happen at the meetings?

Yes.  We welcome your input and encourage you to let us know what you would be interested in discussing at the meetings.
