The results are in! Students at Cambridge Elementary School had the opportunity to vote for a president today. As each class voted and tallied their votes, teachers posted their classroom's (precinct) results on the the Cambridge web site. Students saw, in real time, the affect of their votes on the tally.
IT WAS VERY EXCITING! Many teachers had a computer running in their classes during the day, monitoring the election results. There were cheers in the classrooms as the new vote tally was updated.
Students gained new insight on the important duty of each citizen to vote. EVERY VOTE COUNTS!
The final results: 77% of the Cambridge students voted. You can see a breakdown by precinct on the page that the students and staff viewed during the day.
