Officer Scott Tenney
October 27, 1999
Officer Scott Tenny from the Vacaville Police Department, presented
a "Pedestrian Safety" assembly for all students at Cambridge.
We learned the three things we should always remember:
- The street is for cars.
- Every time you cross the street, it is dangerous. Once you
start crossing, you should always continue to look both ways.
- The red hand on the signal
light means don't start crossing the street. It doesn't mean
stop! You should start crossing when the figure of a person turns
green. In Vacaville, the
figure will stay green for six seconds.
