Officer Scott Tenney

October 27, 1999

Officer Scott Tenny from the Vacaville Police Department, presented a "Pedestrian Safety" assembly for all students at Cambridge. We learned the three things we should always remember:

  1. The street is for cars.

  2. Every time you cross the street, it is dangerous. Once you start crossing, you should always continue to look both ways.

  3. The red hand on the signal light means don't start crossing the street. It doesn't mean stop! You should start crossing when the figure of a person turns green. In Vacaville, the figure will stay green for six seconds.
