We have become increasingly concerned about the traffic congestion in our parking lot and asked the City of Vacaville, Traffic Engineers to evaluate our situation.
Based on their recommendation, the parking lot will be closed to all in and out traffic during all drop-off and pick-up times for students. Only the Travis Unified School buses and child care vans (with a business logo on their vehicle) will be allowed in and out of the parking lot during the following times:
This change requires that parents park on Cambridge Drive or Nut Tree Road. We are in the process of creating a Safety Patrol to help supervise students who will be crossing to the opposite side of Cambridge Drive. Students who will cross to the opposite side of Nut Tree Road will continue to be supervised by the City of Vacaville crossing guard.
Please remember that the Travis Unified School District provides bus services to those students who live more than one (1) mile distance from the school. We encourage students to utilize this service whenever possible. The bus schedules are posted in the office window, but if you need clarification, please feel free to contact the school.
