Each school year, every elementary student, every 8th and 10th grade student, and every student new to the Travis district is given a hearing and vision screening test. This year this involves screening nearly 5000 students! This monumental task is accomplished by Kathy Bourassa and Charlotte Acuros, the two school nurses in Travis Unified.
