On Tuesday, November 23rd, the children of the afternoon kindergarten classes came face-to-face with reptiles, amphibians, and mammals. They shared their day with animals (live and stuffed) from the Explorit Science Center in Davis. Ms. Teryn Brulé who brought the exhibit, explained about specific body characteristics which help the animal adapt to its environment.
Ms. Brulé showed us the following animals: armadillo, a caiman, a deer skin, a stuffed Barn owl, a live Madagascar Hissing Cockroach, and Slither- the gohper snake. The children learned a lot and enjoyed their opportunity to hold or touch the animals.
