School Board Approves Revision to Current School Year Calendar
During its regular meeting December 8, the Travis Unified School
District Governing Board unanimously approved revised student and teacher calendars
for the current 2009-2010 school year. This revision is a result of the agreement
reached between the Travis USD Governing Board and the Travis Unified Teachers
Association which includes three furlough days during this
school year. The revised calendar results in a break in February with no school
for students and teachers the week of February 15-19, 2010, by moving the February
12 local holiday to February 19, observing the February 15 legal holiday (President's
Day), and adding the three furlough days on February 16-18.
