On June 18, 2003, the on-track fifth grade classes enjoyed a traveling field trip about Animal Science presented by the Discovery Museum from Sacramento. Several live animals and specimens were there, so the students could touch and view differences as well as learn new concepts. The students discussed the classification of animals, such as omnivore, carnivore and herbivore; reptile, mammal, and bird; and the interdependence of animals and their environments. The animals that visited us were a turtle, an owl and a rabbit. Wed like to thank the Cambridge PTA for their financial support.
