On Friday, Cambridge students joined nearly 52 million students across America in the synchronized Pledge of Allegiance. Luis Carias, our assistant principal, gathered all the classes in front of our flag pole and led us in the Pledge.

This event begain last Tuesday, when U.S. Secretary of Education Rod Paige send letters to more than 100,000 public and private elementary and secondary school principals around the country to encourage participate in Pledge Across America - a nationwide, synchronized Pledge of Allegiance.President Bush indicated that he would participate from the White House.

Cambridge students were proud to take part in this event.
