The Golden West Middle School Mustang Band, under the direction of Robin Runyan, came to Cambridge on Tuesday, May 15th. They played six different selections for the 4th, 5th and 6th grade students. After their first selection called 'Free World,' they played 'Tribal War Chant' with a flute solo and a trumpet solo.

Six Honor Student Band members were introduced to the audience and then the band played 'Air for Band.' A special surprise piece from the 'Beauty and the Beast' was next, followed by the introduction of several different instruments. We saw and heard the sounds from a piccilo, a bass clarinet, saxophones, trombones and a euphonium. Then we heard those instruments in 'Into the Storm.'

Finally, the program ended with 'Don't Feed the Drummers' showcasing a wide range of percussion equipment. The band members that had attended Cambridge in the past were recognized and hopefully more Cambridge students will join Mustang Band in the future.
