Immunization Requirement for students entering 7-12th grade
Whooping Cough (Pertussis) has been widespread in California and this year all across the state, many citizens have been sick with Whooping Cough and students have had to miss school due to this illness.
To help protect your children and others from whooping cough, a new California law now requires students to be vaccinated against Whooping Cough. For more information about the immunization requirement, visit http://www.shotsforschool.org.

Enrollment Application Process Starts April 1
The District will begin accepting Open Enrollment applications on April 1, 2010 for the 2010-2011 school year. The Open Enrollment applications are available at each of the elementary sites, at the District Office, and can also be downloaded from the District website (www.travisusd.k12.ca.us).
If you have questions regarding Open Enrollment, please call the school at (707) 446-9494. The Cambridge Office will be closed for Spring Break March 22 - April 9. You may call Student Services at (707) 437-8114.

The revised calendar results in a break in February with no school for students and teachers the week of February 15-19, 2010, by moving the February 12 local holiday to February 19, observing the February 15 legal holiday (President's Day), and adding the three furlough days on February 16-18. In honor of Mr. Reagan's memory, all TUSD flags will remain at half-staff for 30 days from the date of his death, per the federal protocol.
The proclamation signed by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger concerning observances and the operation of state offices does not authorize schools to close. Joey Sarin, fourth grade student at Cambridge Elementary, touched the heart of many people here at home and around the world with his drawing appropriately titled "America is for Everyone."
Joeys drawing was the recipient of first
place the Solano County Multi-Cultural Awareness Month Poster contest among
the fourth grade entries and will be on the cover of an ophthalmologist
medical magazine along with an interview.

Accelerated Reader at Cambridge Elementary School includes almost 2,000 quizzes, so students can read almost any book that they enjoy reading, and then take a test on it to let their teacher learn how well they comprehend what they read.
We now have the list of the quizzes
on the Cambridge web site so teachers or students can check to find
out what we have and they can also connect to the library database to find
out if the book is in our library.
